Course Overview
Students explore aspects of the Media (Mainstream, Digital and Social media), including how images, sounds and words are combined for effect, how social issues and cultural ideas are communicated, and how audiences are influenced by Media texts. They will create their own media products which may include advertisements, films, documentaries and/or photojournalism articles. Students can expect to work individually or in groups on both exploration and creation of media products.
Students also work, both individually and in small groups, to create Media products for a range of purposes and audiences. These might include topics such as: Youth in Media, Music in Media, Film or Advertising.
