Course Overview
Students critically read and view a range of literary texts. Students employ literary and critical analytical skills through their responses to the works studied. Students also have the opportunity to apply the stylistic features and literary techniques studied in the works of great writers to their own creative writing tasks. Students can expect to produce three responding to texts tasks, two creating texts, as one externally assessed comparative task and external exam.

Further Information
Stage 1 English is a prerequisite for Stage 2 English Literary Studies. Students who have taken Stage 1 Essential English must get approval from the English Coordinator before enrolling.
