Course Overview
This is an introductory course focusing on traditional film and SLR camera techniques. Students will develop a range of skills in camera handling, processing film, investigating a range of creative techniques and using the darkrooms to develop their images.
Students are required to purchase all consumable photographic materials with the exception of chemicals. Equipment can be borrowed from the college however it would be an advantage to have access to a 35mm SLR camera.
A field trip will be part of this course.

A sound basis for SACE Stage 2 Photography or VET Certificate lll or higher.
Students are required to pay a ‘maintenance and borrowing’ fee of $100. The college provides all chemicals, physical equipment and printing inks and this fee will also entitle students to a box of photographic paper. All other consumables such as film, paper, negative sleeves and mounting/frames materials must be supplied by students.
