Course Overview

In the study of Ancient Studies at Stage 1 students explore the archaeological evidence of early humans and their global spread with specific focus on Ancient Australia and the sites of First Australians. Students will also explore the beliefs, rituals, and mythology of Ancient Greece including The Iliad and The Odyssey as well as Ancient Greek warfare and conquest including the Greco-Persian Wars, Athens and Sparta and Alexander the Great.

Stage 1 Ancient Studies is a pathway to Stage 2 Ancient Studies, however it is not a prerequisite.
