Marden Senior College is unique
Marden Senior College is a unique, flexible and vibrant place to study. We offer a wide range of SACE and VET courses – the greater the choice the more pathways you can explore.
Specialist Senior College
One of the obvious benefits of a specialist environment like Marden is that we offer more stage 1 and stage 2 subjects than a traditional school . You can combine them with VET courses.
This is really important – you want the best combination of subjects to prepare you for the study or employment pathway you’re intending to explore.
Because we offer such a range of subjects, you can target your study to meet your strengths, needs and interests. By working with your strengths you’ll be well placed to achieve your goals.
With so many options available, the chance of a subject clash is unlikely. Many of our subjects are offered more than once during the week – often in the evening as well as during the day.
Flexible learning community
We provide a flexible learning community. Studying at Marden is very different to a traditional school. There are no home groups, uniforms or bells. Our teachers interact with you as adults and you can manage your own time.
You can choose to study part-time or full-time, during the day or evening. We timetable subjects so that most students don’t need to come to the College every day. Evening classes are from 5.00pm onwards, and are held only once a week.
Strong values
At Marden, our values reflect the real world. We strongly promote respect for diversity and difference; individual freedom balanced by social responsibility; independent learning and organisational skills.
You’ll find that being part of this community can really help you make the leap between secondary school studies and your chosen pathway.
Committed to sustainability
Marden has a strong commitment to sustainablity onsite and offsite through the development of ‘Our Patch‘ along the River Torrens. In addition to our approach to water and energy use, students manage native gardens and work on revegetation projects as part of their studies.
We support you every step of the way
Student Services offers a wide range of other learning and support programs.
